Champions League draw and England squad announcement

All eyes are on Switzerland today as Europe’s biggest and best clubs find out who they are playing in this season’s Champions League.

The groups will be drawn this evening and we also have an England squad announcement, as well as plenty more transfer talk.

Champions League draw

Champions Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be keen to know who they will face in the group stage this campaign.

England squad announced

Gareth Southgate names his latest England squad today

Gareth Southgate gets the England squad back together for the first time since the Euro 2020 final defeat next week.

After that heartbreaking loss to Italy, the focus turns to qualifying for next year’s World Cup in Qatar, with trips to Hungary and Poland either side of Andorra’s visit to Wembley.

Southgate announces the squad at 2pm and with Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford injured, there will be some changes.

One to watch 

Fresh from Harry Kane’s confirmation that he is staying at Tottenham, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side face Pacos de Ferriera tonight.

They need to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg if they are to progress to the Europa Conference League and Bryan Gil could be handed another opportunity.

Transfer Talk
