Godfada De Entertainer, Special Recognition joker’s Awards 2021

Ogiemwanye Abraham, more commonly known as GODFADA DE COMEDIAN, was born in the late 1970s in Benin, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. He attended Lydia primary and secondary school same in Benin Edo state.

In 1999 got admitted to the University of Benin, where he got is diploma in accounting and BSc in sociology and anthropology.

Godfada started out at a time when comedy in Nigeria, most especially in Edo state wasn’t looked at much and wasn’t seen as a means to achieving livelihood. Comedians in general were earning relatively low income.

However, he continued to pursue his passion, until he was invited to join the front line production (FLP) by his then comedy father ALEGBE DE COMEDIAN.

He soon became popular in the state and some states in Nigeria most especially around the campus environment. His membership to the organization helped him to further hone his skill in comedy.

He started his comedy career in 1996 at the age of 18 in Edo State, with the full support of Alegbe the comedian and his lovely family. He became established in 1997, had his 1st comedy television interview with the then Godwin Egbe and Sulie Alede of Edo broadcasting service (EBS). Later got his programme and presented there for about 4 years.

He stopped television presentation in 1999 to further his education in the University of Benin. In 2002 he worked as a presenter in a private television station independent radio and television (ITV) He managed both TV presentation, comedy and education for years before graduation. While in school he got some many awards, ranging from Outstanding Comedian of the year, Most Popular Comedian of the year, Pick a brain most Hilarious Comedian of the year.

These and many more awards he got back to back for 5years. In 2008 he organized the Niger/Delta peace concert in Bayelsa state with the Governor TIMI PREA SYLVA to preach peace among the Niger/ delta states. In 2002 he left Nigeria for Ghana to work with the Ghana television (GTV) in Accra Ghana for 2 years and later to South Africa to work with planet radio television (PRTV). He relocated back to Nigeria in 2013 to manage the families business (PAME GROUP OF SCHOOL) and also got appoint as the President of the Entertainers Forum of Edo state and the PRO of the Performers musicians’ employer association of Nigeria (PMAN) Edo chapter till date.

He is currently married with 4kids,
He is presently the Director South south of the FIRST CHILD AND PRISIONER CARE FOUNDATION and also an OAP with Silverbird communications benin…
