David De Gea had to be substituted in Spain’s Euro 2020 qualifier with Sweden after appearing to pick up an injury.
The incident happened midway through the second half when the Manchester United goalkeeper appeared to tweak something while taking a goal kick.
Spain took no chances with De Gea and he was taken off straight away.
Manchester United fans will already be anxious for news on the extent of his injury because of their important Premier League clash on Sunday.
They face current league leaders Liverpool who possess a potent front three in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
If he is not able to play in the match then it is likely that Sergio Romero will take his place in the starting XI.
De Gea only recently signed a new long term contract with the Red Devils following months of speculation over his future.
The Spaniard had entered the final 12 months of his current deal but a deal was able to be struck for a four-year extension.
He is in his ninth season with United and has racked up 371 appearances in all competitions.
